“The Hop” has started service to Boone and Blowing Rock! The cost is $70 one way and $120 round trip. Family members ride for half price once one pays full price and children under 12 ride free!

How to Schedule to or from Boone or Blowing Rock

Boone or Blowing Rock to Charlotte – Locate the departure time of your flight from Charlotte. Choose a HOP departure time from Boone or Blowing Rock at least 3.5 hours before your departure time to allow for the trip, check in, and security. Travel time with the bus transfer in Hickory on the Hickory Hop is approximatly 2.5 hours.

Charlotte to Boone or Blowing Rock – Locate the arrival time of your flight to Charlotte. Choose a Hop departure from Charlotte no closer than 1 hour from your scheduled arrival time to allow for baggage pick up. (Photographs of Pick Up and Drop Off Points in Boone and Blowing Rock) In Boone we pick up and drop off at the Peacock Hall Loop on the ASU campus or at Enterprise Car Rental on Hwy 105. In Blowing Rock at the Tanger Shoppes on The Parkway.

Cancellation Policy

The Hickory Hop will give full refunds for cancellations received 24 hours or greater in advance of reservation time. No refunds will be given for cancellations received within 24 hours of reservation. Rescheduling within 24 hours of reservation is available at an additional cost of $10. There is no additional cost for changing “HOP” pick up times at the Charlotte Airport due to airline delays.
